In its fight against poverty and food insecurity in around the world, the Louis Dreyfus Foundation operates in countries characterized by large rural communities that are negatively impacted by climate change, drought, soil erosion and deforestation, as well as changing social and economic conditions.

The Louis Dreyfus Foundation is active across Africa, Asia, and South America, in countries where Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) has an established presence. Our projects in vulnerable regions  aim to generate social, environmental, and economic welfare for smallholder farmers and local communities.

Africa

The Louis Dreyfus Foundation began its activities in Africa in 2013. It is now running projects across East, West, and Southern Africa, where smallholder farmers struggle to secure sustainable livelihoods for their families, often due to adverse social, economic, and climate conditions.

Asia

The Louis Dreyfus Foundation is active in Asia with ongoing projects in China, India and Indonesia. These projets aim to provide technical assistance and training to rural communities and smallholder farmers with the aim to improve their livelihoods.
